SB-JC: Small Whimsical Shoulder Bag with Jan Cuningham

Jan will be teaching you how to make a small cute crossover shoulder bag.  This has been very popular with students.

You will need a sewing machine in working order. It would be best if it has an array of decorative stitches.

There will be some free motion quilting in the project and you will need a free motion foot.

Supplies:

Scissors, rotary cutter (if you have a scalloped blade that would be a plus),
12" square ruler, 6"x24" ruler and a smaller ruler are recommended.

Pins, fray check and Elmers Purple glue stick.

All supplies are available at the Shoppe for purchase.

Fabric:
6 pieces of small print fabric at least 8"x10".  A strip of fabric 1/8 yd x 44" WOF for purse strap.

Many, many small pieces of colored fabrics,  some at 8" long.  Fabrics with designs or ribbons or dress labels anything odd that you might want to add. Left over segments of bias or straight edge pieces from binding quilt (left overs). Fancy buttons or anything that you can sew on to make it interesting.  We have two samples here at the Shoppe for inspiration.

Lots of colored threads or variegated threads.

Neutral Bobbin thread.

Most of all bring a huge dose of your imagination!!  This is going to be a fun class.
