This bag is a cute way to travel with your favorite beverage, glassware, and more. This bag will take 3 class meetings in order to complete the project. There will also be some “homework” for you to do between classes. At the end of the class, you will have a completed bag ready for your next outing!
For this project you will need: (We will have a kit put together that you can purchase, which will include Soft and Stable, Strapping, Fusible Interfacing, and Template Plastic)
Main Fabric - 1 yard
Lining Fabric - 1 yard
by ANNIE'S Soft and Stable - 36" x 58"
Fusible Interfacing - 4" x 20"
Handbag zippers to match fabric - - One 24" or longer single slide and 2 - 10" single slide.
1" Polypro strapping - 2 yards
1" Hardware - Two 1" Rings - Two 1" Swivel hooks. One 1" Slider
Sew In Magnetic snap set 14mm - Two Sets
Base Stabilizer - (Plaskolite, foam core, Plexiglass or heavy cardboard) - 6 1/4" x 6 1/4"
Template Plastic (optional)
Thread - Auriful #50 wt.

- Sewing machine with matching thread
- Frixion pen
- 8x24” ruler
- Rotary cutter
- Pins
- Wonder clips
- Stiletto
- Safety pin
- Material to make the divider template (I used stencil template plastic sheets)
- Walking foot for your sewing machine
- Turning tool
- Fabric glue
